Do I Have to go to Daycare?

Okay, so the first week of daycare is now behind me. Mom shed tears on Monday and decided she wants no part of the morning drop off. Picking me up is much, much, more fun! Mom misses our long days together and can't believe we just see each other a few hours a day now. Who can blame her for not wanting to share me with the girls at daycare?

As far as daycare goes, Lasting Impressions seems all right. I am in a classroom with 11 other babies and we have a four daycare moms to play with us. I am a lot of work for them because I seem to have a blowout in my size 2 diapers and require a full wardrobe change once or twice every day. This weekend mom and dad may have to get me some more size 1 diapers to wear until I put on a few pounds.

As you can see by the photo from my three month birthday, I am growing up so fast. I giggle more and more every day and am starting to get the hang of shaking my rattles and grabbing the toys on my activity mat. Daddy gets me to giggle when he says "Hey, Buddy, Buddy!"

Last Sunday I had a reunion with the three sets of twins from my mom and baby group. This time the dads joined us for pizza and to share parenting stories. I was certainly the tallest baby of the group but also the skinniest. Long and lean, so they say. Let's see what happens when I start to get some rice cereal - maybe I will plump up a bit.

Well, the weekend is finally here and I get to hang with Mom, Dad and Sophie! "Family time" is Dad's favorite thing! Mom and Dad may take me to daycare at the gym for an hour or so on Saturday so that they can run on the treadmill. Let's see if they manage to tear themselves away from me.

Lazy Sunday

Happy New Year! This post is a test for my new blog. Today is a lazy Sunday afternoon with the temperatures outside a cool seven degrees above zero. The Vikes just won their 12th game of the season with quarterback Brett Favre, a forty-something "dude", leading the NFC Central Division champs to another victory. Sounds like maybe next week the Vikes and Cowboys could face each other in the playoffs - Mommy and Daddy will be cheering against each other and I will try to stay neutral.

Mom got this cute shot of me at this morning's photo session -I am rockin' my stylish Kenneth Cole cashmere-blend duds. Daddy says this is his favorite outfit on me with my camo suit from Hodge Sporting Goods a close second.

I made some progress this morning on my New Year's resolution to roll over. I think I need a little more practice. What should I master first, front-to-back or back-to-front?

Oh, one more thing, I am now starting to giggle a little more regularly . Mom and dad jiggle me about and talk in silly voices and I giggle back at them.
See you later alligators.
